Captain Shannon O’Quinn started fishing as a young child on the Satilla River in Woodbine, Georgia. Exploring the salt and fresh water rivers and lakes of South Georgia, he honed his skills before moving to the South Carolina Low Country in 1999. Since then the concentration has been on inshore salt waters, especially Red Fish. Captain Shannon fishes the Low country Red Fish Cup, IFA, and other local tournaments.
He also makes annual trips to Venice, Louisiana and Lake Hartwell, Georgia. He can put you on the fish, take you speed boating through the rivers, or cruise you through the calm sunset waters with a cocktail and some tunes. You set the pace, and Shannon will make it a fishing trip to remember! Charters offered in Hilton Head, Savannah, and Beaufort.
The VooDoo Child is a 21 foot Shoalwater Cat. Built in Texas, the boat is designed for floating and running shallow, drawing only eight inches of water while fishing and three inches on plane. She is rigged with a wireless trolling motor with GPS, power pole, Lowrance GPS, two live wells, 125 qt Yeti cooler, doubling as a forward casting platform, and a tower for sight fishing. With the stability and low sides afforded by the catamaran hull, her deck is easy to maneuver while bringing in the fish. You won’t see another like her in the Low Country.
