16 May Fishing report May 16
We are finally getting some nice weather! The winds have calmed down a bit compared to spring, we’ve even had a few slick days. Redfish are getting more into they’re summer patterns, scattering out especially on the higher tides. We are still finding some larger schools where we can catch multiple fish. It looks like this year’s cobia season is going to be better than expected! We’ve see fish every time we’ve sight fished for them and there have been some caught on the bottom as well. I saw a big school of menhaden in the river for the first time a couple days ago, so it shouldn’t be long before we start seeing jacks moving in. We’re looking forward to getting on some different fish, put your sun screen on and go get em!
